What’s in a name?

With the current debate about whether PAs should be “Assistant” or “Associate” this article below brings up another term that may be of limited utility: “Midlevel” provider.

Does “midlevel” imply that there is a low-level? Who’s that supposed to be? and a high-level? Uh, oh. You can see how this may not make sense in reality OR for the patient’s peace of mind.
